Part of my prayers each morning is asking God to use me as a vessel for His Glory. Wow. Yesterday was amazing! Relieving our only cashier for lunch, The Lord sent several beautiful customers my way. We were all totally blessed beyond measure.
The first customer to fulfill my vessel request was a sweet lady that found the blue nick-nacks that she had been searching for. When I was ringing her up, she said she wanted to add $25 to her sale because this store was her favorite place. She said the reason was she had seen us give a homeless person some clothes and that really inspired her. I thanked her for her kindness and generosity as the next customer came to the counter to which she said, “I want to pay for her purchase, too.” (Whoa…what a vessel she is! Thank you, God!)
After exchanging hugs and “see you later,” I turned around to a customer who told me her sister saw a piece of furniture she liked. However, her sister could not afford it. So, if she gave me the remainder of what her sister could afford, could I “reduced the price”. Of course we could do that! What a blessing she was to her sister, another vessel!
Next comes the sister wanting to buy the furniture. I let her know that I could reduce the price and through tears she thanked me. “God is good….so thank your sister for bringing you here”, I said with a smile. As she was making her purchase, she asked about a picture of Jesus praying that she wanted but it did not have a price on it. I handed her the picture and said, “well, that is telling me Jesus wants you to have it. He does that in our store from time to time.” Tears flowing again, I said, “we even have Kleenex, too.” After her purchase, our precious customer said, “I can hardly wait to get home to tell people of this testimony.” Another vessel.
I thanked the Lord over and over yesterday for the power of His love and the beautiful ways He touches people’s lives. I am honored to be a vessel for Him, always.
